You drive one of our purpose-built Jeeps while our guide leads the way, handling navigation and trail support through the rugged corridor of Bautista Canyon and up onto the Rouse Hill ridgeline. The reward is a 6,825-foot summit and a bird’s-eye view of Garner Valley and Lake Hemet.

The technical ascent through Bautista Canyon puts you at unique mid-mountain elevations no road traveler can reach, while the 6,825-foot Thomas Mountain summit delivers a 360° panorama of Garner Valley, Lake Hemet, and the dense Jeffrey pine canopy that drapes the ridgeline.

Bautista Canyon (6S16) to Thomas Mountain Peak (5S15) — the ultimate “Sky-to-Valley” loop. We begin with a technical ascent through the rugged corridor of Bautista Canyon before transitioning onto the Rouse Hill ridgeline.
The journey culminates at the 6,825-foot summit of Thomas Mountain, offering a bird’s-eye view of Garner Valley and Lake Hemet. The route finishes by traversing through a forest of Jeffrey, Coulter and Ponderosa pines.

Pre-Trail Inspection: All personal vehicles will undergo a mandatory safety and trail-worthiness inspection by our lead guide prior to departure. Key requirements include:
Damage Acknowledgment: Personal vehicle operators must sign an agreement acknowledging that off-roading carries inherent risks of cosmetic damage (such as “trail pinstriping” from brush) or mechanical breakdown, which are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
